How to Measure Your Dump Trailer Tarp (2 Quick Steps)
Step 1: Width
- Choose 84 inches for most trailers with a 96-inch wide box
- Choose 90 inches for most trailers with a 102-inch wide box
- For custom widths: measure the roller bar flange-to-flange, then subtract 4 inches (to fit neatly inside the rails)
Step 2: Length
- Measure from the roller bar to the end of the trailer box
- Add 2 feet to ensure full coverage, especially for heaped loads
Example: If your trailer box is 40 feet long and 96 inches wide, order an 84″ x 42′ tarp.
